What you will do
  • Arrange respite breaks for families and children, ensuring their well‑being and restfulness.
  • Conduct home statutory visits to promote welfare and safeguard children within our community.
  • Carry out initial and comprehensive assessments to identify and address the unique needs of children and their families.
  • Arrange, implement, and review personalised care plans to support individual children.
  • Liaise with other professionals, including occupational therapists, to provide a collaborative approach to care and support.
  • Manage and process direct payments to facilitate tailored solutions for families.
  • Conduct risk assessments to ensure the safety and security of the children within our care.
  • Attend looked‑after children reviews, providing updates and integrating feedback into care plans.
  • Undertake parenting assessments and offer support to enhance familial bonds and capabilities.
  • Arrange and participate in core group meetings to ensure cohesive and comprehensive support plans.
  • Handle complex cases, including section 47 enquiries, with tact and professionalism.
  • Perform educational needs assessments to support the holistic development of every child.
