Job summary

A community coaching organization is seeking a qualified individual to deliver inclusive and high-quality coaching sessions across various youth football programs in Basingstoke and nearby areas. Responsibilities include engaging with local organizations and ensuring high standards of coaching. Candidates must have relevant qualifications, good communication skills, and a commitment to safety and well-being for all participants.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of the new FA Introduction to Football Coaching qualification.
  • In-date FA Safeguarding Children course and the FA Introduction to First Aid in Football certificate.
  • Clean driving licence or able to travel to sites via public transport.
  • Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe and high-quality coaching sessions daily.
  • Engage and enhance relationships with local youth football clubs and organizations.
  • Support the wider team by sharing relevant information.
  • Deliver any activity deemed appropriate by the Line Manager.

Across Basingstoke, Winchester, Portsmouth and Southampton

Contract

Variable – anytime between 7.30am and 9pm – Monday to Sunday

Responsibilities
  • To deliver safe, inclusive and high quality coaching sessions on a daily basis across the core programmes, including all In‑School and Out of School activity, Player Development Programme activity, sessions at a post 16 football programme and various activities delivered during the school holidays.
  • To deliver activity to support, develop, engage and enhance the relationships with local youth football clubs/schools/organisations/leisure centres/local authority/The Club.
  • To deliver any activity deemed appropriate and reasonable by the Line Manager.
  • To support the wider team by networking and sharing relevant information and opportunities to further enhance the output delivery programme.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of the new FA Introduction to Football Coaching qualification (FA Level 1 equivalent).
  • In‑date FA Safeguarding Children course & the FA Introduction to First Aid in Football certificate.
  • Clean driving licence or able to travel to sites via public transport.
  • Enhanced DBS check (otherwise we will put you through one).
Experience
  • Involved in community/grass roots sports as a participant or coach.
  • Worked as part of a team within a sporting environment.
Skills and Behaviours
