  • Work experience within heavy plant or a relevant industry.
  • CSCS Card is essential.
  • Slinger and signaller certification is beneficial.

Job description
Overview

A vacancy has arisen within our Mobile & Crawler Cranes department for a Service Engineer (Crawler Cranes & Foundation Machines). The role will contribute to the success of Liebherr-Great Britain Ltd by carrying out effective maintenance and repair work on equipment at customer premises or on site, ensuring quality standards and timelines for repair are optimised at all times, leading to increased customer confidence and repeat business whilst working within the Company’s key result areas: Business Performance, Customer Focus, People and Teamwork, Leadership.

Your Responsibilities as a Service Engineer
  • Carry out servicing, inspection and repair of foundation machinery and equipment at customer premises or on site or at the appropriate depot.
  • Diagnose specific fault issues and take appropriate action.
  • Return all warranty and other return parts cleaned and on time, ensuring correct processes for packing and labelling.
  • Ensure all service information is read, understood and filed.
  • Undertake all work strictly in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and recommendations.
  • Escalate the appropriate action in relation to broken or damaged company equipment.
  • Develop an effective working relationship with the support team at the depot and support others where required.
  • Maintain a healthy and safe working environment for self and others through a clear understanding of workplace safety requirements and systems.
  • Support the roles of others, ensuring administration and paperwork is completed effectively and on time as required.
  • Develop outstanding rapport and relationships with all customers.
  • Coordinate with the customer to ensure needs are understood and a flexible approach is adopted to meet them.
  • Work with the customer in mind, maintaining quality work standards and leaving the repair site clean and in a condition that satisfies the customer.
  • Contribute to recognising and improving work processes to drive greater efficiency.
Your Profile to be successful in the Service Engineer role
