The Oncology & Haematology Administration team are looking to recruit a Service Administrator (previously known as Medical Secretary), who is highly motivated and can work on their own initiative, but is also a strong team player.

The roles will coordinate and organise the attendance of patients to outpatient & inpatient clinics.

Ensure all administrative processes and enquiries are dealt with in an efficient and timely manner. Act as a point of contact for the Department or specialty, dealing with queries and passing on relevant information to appropriate team members, as required.

Provide excellent customer care in a calm and professional manner where some situations may be challenging.

We are a large team providing administration support to the Oncology Consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team, flexibility is an essential element of the role. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong administration and communication skills with the ability to prioritise a workload. The candidate will be required to demonstrate empathy and sensitivity when communicating with patients and relatives.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours, hours to be discussed at interview
