Job description

We are looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to join our team.

Pay Rate: £13.40

Shifts: Weekdays, weekends, bank holidays

08:00 – 20:30
20:00 – 08:30

Full time (37.5HR) and part time (25HR) contracts available

It would be ideal if you have previous experience gained in a similar role. However whilst this is valuable, we are looking for individuals who display the right values and behaviours in order to make a difference to people’s lives. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.

What you’ll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.

Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you’ll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support a team in the delivery of person‑centred care. Encourage people to live as independently as possible, while supporting them in building life skills and achieving goals at their own pace.
  • Support tenants in a person‑centred way, which can include assistance with personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living skills, including maintenance of their tenancy.
  • Act as a positive role model providing supervision, guidance and professional development.
  • Plan staff shifts and rotas and complete daily administration of electronic and paper records with the involvement of the individual as appropriate.
  • Support staff and the individual in maintaining their health and wellbeing, which may involve liaising with other specialists.
  • Support the in encouraging the individual’s participation and integration in the local community, through activities and interests that meet their ambitions and help them achieve outcomes in their chosen way.
  • Promote an innovative approach to work and a positive culture, embedding the REACH standards in everyday practice.
  • Ensure all colleagues comply with company policies and procedures.
