Qualifications

• Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes, networking, and troubleshooting node-level issues.
• Strong expertise in AWS architecture and cost management.
• Deep understanding of Linux performance tuning.
• Proficiency in one compiled (Go, Rust, C++) and one interpreted language (Python, Bash).
• Ability to automate infrastructure and monitoring.
• Experience with designing distributed systems with complex failure modes.
• Strong debugging skills for routing or firewall issues.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and ArgoCD.
• Ability to manage large monitoring stack upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural changes and improve reliability and efficiency.
• Lead and optimize Kubernetes platform design and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues independently.
• Design Kubernetes controllers and automation tools.
• Enhance AWS estate for security and scalability.
• Collaborate with developers for observability and metrics.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for new projects.
• Contribute to open-source projects.
• Mentor and guide mid-level SREs.
