You’ll help to analyse search engine and keyword performance data to make sure that our clients achieve their search goals.

This is a client-facing role. You will need to be confident with communicating technical SEO concept, audits and optimisation techniques to clients – from development to marketing teams – and providing guidance to clients on SEO strategies.

Submerge is a successful SEO and digital marketing agency with big ambitions and a growing roster of national and international brands. We combine data-driven insights and content expertise to create exceptional search engine marketing that drives results.

If you’re passionate and knowledgeable about SEO, enjoy working with well-known brands and being part of a focused, agile team, then you’ll love working with us.

In return, we offer a competitive salary, hybrid and flexible working hours, generous time off, as well as autonomy over your job role. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow and succeed with us.

Key responsibilities
  • Drive SEO success by managing day-to-day management of client sites.
  • Assist with SEO audits – technical and on-page – and develop effective SEO strategies.
  • Identify and resolve technical SEO issues, such as broken links and crawl errors.
  • Work with client teams to implement key technical updates.
  • Actively track and adapt SEO strategies to real-world SEO performance
  • Conduct keyword research to identify target keywords and optimise website content.
  • Optimise website pages, including meta tags, headers, and URLs, to improve SEO.
  • Work with our design and development team to help create effective SEO websites.
  • Successfully plan and implement web site migration projects.
  • Conduct performance analysis, including keyword tracking, ranking and organic traffic KPIs.
  • Create monthly SEO performance reports for clients.
  • Support the wider Submerge team on SEO business proposals throughout the pitch process.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and search engine algorithm updates.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years’ SEO experience, preferably within an SEO agency.
  • Strong technical SEO understanding and capabilities.
  • Proficient in using industry reporting, analysis and insight tools such as SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics and GSC.
  • Excellent understanding of Google algorithms and updates.
  • Experience of on-page SEO, natural backlink profiles and on-page optimisation.
  • Knowledge of web builds and how they work from a technical SEO perspective.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients.
