To support this journey of commercial excellence, we are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team.

What will you be doing as our new Senior Quantity Surveyor?

You will act as the commercial conscience of the integrated delivery team, providing support to both the delivery management and on-site teams. Your role will involve controlling costs, maximizing value, minimizing liabilities, and maintaining quality and safety standards. You will also oversee compliance with Alliance and Anglian Water governance procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing all aspects of commercial and cost management for designated projects.
• Ensuring robust cost management processes with accurate reports and data for decision-making.
• Ensuring all team members understand contractual arrangements to meet client and partner requirements.
• Collaborating with the delivery team to identify and monitor efficiency plans throughout project lifecycles.
• Maintaining records, including final accounts, for audits and cost assurance.

Skills, Experience, and Behaviours

Extensive experience in cost management is required. A degree or equivalent in engineering, management, or cost discipline is beneficial but not essential; passion and a desire to pursue a career in Commercial Management are more important.

You should demonstrate excellent customer service and leadership skills, with in-depth knowledge of construction and safety. You should also be comfortable challenging processes and norms to improve commercial offerings.
