Qualifications

  • Previous proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role.

Job description
Overview

RSE is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for the Chemical and Biological Treatment team in Dalgety Bay to support clients across various frameworks in the Water sector. The role involves managing and overseeing contractual, financial, and commercial activities of projects and frameworks, and leading a team of graduate and experienced surveyors to ensure best practice and timely delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Involvement in pre-award activities such as tender reviews, risk/value analysis and evaluation, and advising on procurement strategies.
  • Running a specific portfolio of projects and frameworks, covering all facets of commercial/contractual administration from pre-award through to completion.
  • Preparation, development, and analysis of framework-wide commercial reports for internal teams and Client(s).
  • Tracking the payment status of projects and programmes/frameworks.
  • Notifying the Managing QS of project and programme performance, identifying risks and opportunities as they materialise.
  • Carry out other tasks as requested within the post holder\'s appropriate skill set.
What Do You Need?
  • RICS recognised qualification (or equivalent) in Surveying, Construction, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
  • Previous proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
  • Experience in setting and agreeing commercial strategies, procurement, cost/value reconciliation/reporting, project management, negotiation and settlement of accounts, and claims.
  • Ability to delegate to and manage a team of commercial staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
