A leader in engineering and energy management is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead energy efficiency projects. The role requires expertise in HVAC design within the pharmaceutical sector, providing technical leadership, and guiding engineering teams. Role: This role requires a specialist pharmaceutical/life sciences Senior Mechanical Engineer, to spearhead energy efficiency projects and be the go-to person for design advice and lead projects. As the industry experiences greater regulations on the manufacturing process, the team are seeking an individual to bring experience on how to deliver and manage technical projects to support the growth of the business.
The main responsibilities in this role will be to be ensure high quality delivery of energy-focused global pharmaceutical and life sciences HVAC engineering solutions, while also guiding others to ensure that design deliverables meet consistent standards and best practice.
There will not be any direct line management responsibility for this role.
The person in this role will act as a subject matter expert guiding the engineering team on process, quality and technical delivery. They also work closely with the senior leadership and sales teams growing the business and leading on consultative technical discussions with both new and existing clients.
Most of the time will be working in the capacity of a consultant both externally and internally, influencing design and recommendations, representing best practice and promoting technical excellence in HVAC design and build within the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry and within the team.
