SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL - INTERNATIONAL

Location: UK – Manchester highly preferred

Employment Type: Full‑time

Summary

OneStream is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel with experience in software, SaaS, and professional services agreements to join its Legal team. The role will cover multiple jurisdictions across EMEA. The successful candidate will partner with Sales to draft and negotiate high‑value, strategically important SaaS agreements along with ancillary documents such as Data Protection terms, security terms, and codes of conduct. The role will engage in the sales cycle from the outset, helping Sales shape complex transactions and interacting directly with customers and stakeholders on the full range of contracting activities from NDAs to terminations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS, software license agreements and professional services contracts for EMEA.
  • Apply knowledge of compliance areas such as Privacy, AI, Export, Open‑Source, DORA, Accessibility, and Entity Management.
  • Support Sales, Deal Desk, and Customer Success managers on contract interpretation and potential dispute resolution.
  • Conduct legal research on SaaS, software, and professional services matters across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Lead or contribute to Legal team projects, including developing new templates and collaborating with specialists on emerging challenges.

Required Education and Experience

  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a current practising certificate.
  • 6+ years PQE with at least 2 years specialising in software, SaaS, and professional services agreements.
  • Experience working across a range of jurisdictions, especially in Europe.
  • Solid knowledge of Data Protection laws.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly digest complex information and make well‑reasoned decisions.
  • Highly motivated, self‑starter, and able to collaborate effectively with the Legal team and other departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills adaptable to any situation, including difficult customer negotiations, C‑Level executive summaries, and team collaboration.
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
