We’re scaling fast and doing things differently and we’re looking for a Senior HR Partner who thrives on the creativity, variety, and occasional chaos that comes with startup life. This is a hands‑on, people‑first role where you’ll be right at the heart of the action.

You’ll partner closely with managers, support our rapidly growing team, and help design a brilliant employee experience from the ground up. From onboarding and culture-building to tricky people challenges and everything in between, you’ll be the go‑to for all things people.

What You’ll Do:
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers on all day-to-day people matters including performance, wellbeing, absence, and employee relations
  • Support the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding and probation through to progression and offboarding
  • Partner with the recruitment and onboarding teams to deliver a smooth, positive experience for every new joiner
  • Collaborate with the Head of People & Talent on key people initiatives, process improvements, and company-wide projects
  • Coach and support managers to lead confidently and in line with our culture and values
  • Help embed and improve key people processes such as performance check‑ins, engagement surveys, and recognition programmes
  • Review and refresh our benefits offering to ensure it’s competitive, meaningful, and aligned with what our people value most
  • Provide practical, up-to-date HR advice in line with UK employment law and best practice
  • Use data and feedback to identify trends, solve problems, and continuously improve the employee experience
  • Jump in on people projects as needed – from new policy rollouts to wellbeing initiatives or manager training
What You’ll Bring:
  • Broad HR generalist experience – must be in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment where you’ve worn multiple hats
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a knack for figuring things out as you go – startup life isn’t always tidy!
  • Confidence handling people issues with a calm, fair and pragmatic approach (a working knowledge of UK employment law is a plus, but not essential)
  • Friendly, approachable and people‑focused—you’re someone teams naturally turn to for advice and support
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves—whether that’s running onboarding sessions or drafting policies
  • Self‑sufficiency and proactivity—you know how to manage your time, juggle priorities, and keep things moving without hand‑holding
  • Experience using HR systems (we use HiBob—great if you’ve used it, but not a dealbreaker)

If you don’t meet every qualification but believe you have the drive and skills to make an impact, we encourage you to apply. We’re always looking for passionate individuals who are excited to support our mission and thrive in an ever‑evolving, high‑energy environment.

What You’ll Get:
  • Generous Leave: 25 days holiday (rising to 27 after year one and 30 after year two) + 8 bank holidays
  • Pension Matching: Up to 5% employer matching contributions.
  • Flexibility and Wellness: Work‑from‑home options, cycle‑to‑work scheme, and more.
  • Growth Opportunities: Collaborate across teams and represent Montu at events, with support to grow your skills and impact.
