Job summary

A global financial services firm based in London is looking for an experienced European Employee Relations Specialist. This role involves managing employee relations matters, supporting investigations, and providing guidance to HR teams. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of labor laws in France, Germany, Italy or Spain, excellent communication skills, and fluency in English and at least one other language. A proactive approach to problem-solving and experience in Financial Services is essential. This position promotes a healthy work environment and ensures compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of relevant labour laws in France, Germany, Italy, or Spain.
  • Ability to build trust with employees at all levels.
  • Fluency in English and a second language (French, German, Italian, Spanish).
  • Experience in employee relations within Financial Services.
  • Proactive problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience in conducting investigations confidentially.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with data-driven recommendation abilities.
  • Proficient in HR systems and MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters.
  • Support HR with investigations into employee complaints.
  • Provide guidance to HR Business Partners and managers.
  • Develop strategies to promote a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Collaborate to identify trends in employee relations.
  • Help develop training programs on employee relations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
