Job summary

A leading engineering firm based in Warrington is seeking a Senior EC&I Designer to develop and deliver CE&I design solutions for client projects. The successful candidate will join a dedicated design team and be responsible for meeting project milestones while producing detailed designs and supporting documentation. Relevant engineering qualifications and experience in CE&I design are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Proven CE&I design engineer with experience in producing designs and drawings.
• Understanding of the roles and application of the CDM regulations.
• Experience producing design packages suitable for manufacture and installation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver CE&I design solutions in response to client specifications.
• Work within the CE&I design team to meet delivery milestones.
• Attend design reviews to support presentations of design documentation.

Overview

For one of our teams in Warrington or Cumbria (Westlakes Industrial Park) we are seeking a Senior EC&I Designer.

Scope

• This role will involve developing and delivering CE&I design solutions in response to problem definitions and Project Functional Specifications from the client
• Working within the current CE&I design team to deliver CE&I design against the schedule and support meeting key delivery milestones
• Support plant configuration walk downs to confirm and accurately record task baseline details, or the production of outline design schemes
• Attend Design reviews to support the RE in presentation of design documentation

Requirements

• Competent and proven CE&I design engineer, capable of producing designs, schemes, drawings, and supporting calculations
• Knowledge and experience of producing both Instrumentation and Electrical designs
• Understanding of the roles and application of the CDM regulations
• Previous experience producing design packages, suitable for manufacture and installation, containing drawings, method statements, risk assessments etc
• Production of Design Drawings in AutoCAD
• Degree in relevant engineering discipline with several years of design delivery experience OR other qualification such as BTEC, HNC, HND, with extensive design delivery experience
