We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven Senior Development Manager to lead the full development cycle of our prestigious, high‑value commercial and mixed‑use portfolio. Based within our Acquisitions team and working closely with Projects, this is a high‑impact role in which you will shape the direction, viability and deliverability of developments from concept through to pre‑construction.

The ideal candidate will excel at facilitating stakeholder engagement, guiding multidisciplinary teams and driving performance across planning and development to deliver projects of exceptional quality. This is an opportunity to apply strategic insight, commercial acumen and leadership to make a meaningful impact on the growth and long‑term success of the Sorbon Estates portfolio.

About you

  • Degree‑qualified in town planning, real estate, or a related discipline.
  • Experienced leader, able to guide consultant teams and engage effectively with local authorities and stakeholders.
  • Proven track record managing commercial or mixed‑use development projects post‑acquisition through planning and pre‑construction.
  • Energised by transforming concepts into high‑quality developments, and motivated by solving complex project challenges.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with expertise in feasibility, viability assessments, and negotiating S106/CIL obligations to secure deliverable, value‑aligned outcomes.
