Qualifications

Role Overview & Role Responsibilities

• Work with peers to shape and deliver the Property and Casualty proposition to market.
• Actively contribute towards visibility in the local market, working closely with Brokers to identify underserved segments where you can shape propositions to gain market share.
• Build strong relationships with brokers, negotiating effectively, and providing excellent customer service at all times.
• Ability to underwrite both New & Renewal business in line with the underwriting strategy.
• Work diligently to ensure documentation and underwriting files are thoroughly checked and terms are accurately issued in a timely manner.

Key requirements

• Proven track record of building a portfolio of mid-market property and casualty risks, writing risks £10k+ GWP.
• Strong ability to influence and negotiate with brokers, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and creative thinker in meeting Underwriting needs whilst working in partnership with brokers.
• Ability to understand the needs of each Underwriting line on a portfolio basis.
• To work with confidence, embrace change, be inquisitive, resilient, imaginative and direct.
