Job summary

A luxury elderly care provider is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to deliver high standards of personal care. The role involves monitoring resident wellbeing, supporting medication needs, and assisting in staff development. Candidates must possess an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care and have at least 2 years of relevant experience. This is a permanent position based at Poets Mews Care Home in Clevedon, Somerset.

Responsibilities

  • Support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care.
  • Monitor the wellbeing of each resident and amend care plans as needed.
  • Support residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support staff development.
  • Act as a key contact for residents, relatives, and healthcare professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.
