Job summary

A prominent healthcare provider in Swindon is seeking a Senior Aseptic Services Pharmacist. In this fixed-term contract, you will lead the aseptic services and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice and other guidelines. Applicants should hold a Masters in Pharmacy and a General Pharmaceutical Council membership, with experience in hospital pharmacy preferrable. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from £47,810 to £54,710 per annum, pro rata, along with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

  • Member of General Pharmaceutical Council is required.
  • Masters Degree in Pharmacy is required.
  • Post qualification in aseptic services or clinical (e.g. Clinical Diploma) is required.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an Authorised Pharmacist for the supervision of the Pharmacy Aseptic Services Unit.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national guidelines.
  • Co-ordinate treatment provision to the Day Therapy Unit and other medical wards.

Skills

Experience of working in hospital pharmacy
Clinical Pharmacy: demonstrate a core knowledge of therapeutics and pharmacology
Demonstrate understanding of legislation that applies to hospital pharmacy practice
Ability to identify and prioritise work and manage time appropriately
Demonstrate the ability to problem solve
Demonstrates awareness of current NHS agenda

Education

Masters Degree in Pharmacy
Post qualification in aseptic services or clinical
Member of General Pharmaceutical Council
