Location: Harmondsworth, West Drayton

Position: SEN Teacher

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible

Salary: Competitive and reflective of experience

Are you a passionate and skilled SEN teacher ready to shape something extraordinary?

This is your chance to join Landon School Harmondsworth (LSH) at the very beginning of an exciting journey. We’re a brand-new, independent specialist school for children aged 5-11 with Autism, and we’re growing fast — with a vision to become a multi-site school serving 200 pupils.

We were also rated as 'Outstanding' by Ofsted at our first ever inspection in July 2025.

About Us

LSH is built on the belief that every child deserves the chance to thrive — regardless of their starting point. That’s why we’re creating an environment where innovation, expertise, and compassion come together to offer truly individualised learning experiences.

Our purpose-built school is nestled in a spacious, green setting in Harmondsworth, just 10 minutes from West Drayton's Elizabeth Line station. We’re equipped with specialist sensory and therapeutic spaces, and we're designed for children to flourish — both indoors and out.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a committed and creative teacher with a strong foundation in SEN to be part of our founding team. You’ll be joining us at a pivotal stage, helping to shape the culture, curriculum, and learning environment of a school that puts pupils first.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to go beyond classroom teaching — to influence how things are done, work in a close-knit team, and grow professionally as we expand.

Candidate Profile
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable
  • Experience teaching children with Autism, ideally in a specialist setting.
  • Familiarity with the EQUALS curriculum is highly desirable.
  • Experience with non-linear assessment frameworks (e.g. SCERTS, Routes for Learning) would be a strong advantage.
  • Above all, a deep passion for supporting neurodivergent learners and a commitment to inclusive, person-centred education.
Why Join Landon School Harmondsworth?
  • Be part of a founding team shaping a school from the ground up.
  • Join a values-driven, ambitious school with a strong commitment to research-led, compassionate practice.
  • Access to ongoing training and development, with real opportunities for internal progression as we grow.
  • Work in a beautiful, well-resourced setting, with sensory and therapeutic spaces designed to meet complex needs.
  • Enjoy a supportive and collaborative working environment, where staff wellbeing is prioritised.
