A local council in Chelmsford is seeking a part-time School Crossing Patrol Officer to ensure the safety of pedestrians, particularly children, crossing roads near schools. The role involves approximately 7.5 hours per week during the academic year, with uniform and training provided. Ideal candidates will be punctual, reliable, and enjoy engaging with the public. Location: Elsenham, High Street, Bishops Stortford
Working Style: Operational field-based worker
Support schools once each in the morning and evening, ensuring the safety of all pedestrians crossing the road to and from school and surrounding locations. The role requires approximately 7.5 hours per week, available for 39 weeks during the academic year. Working hours are about 45 minutes between 08:00‑09:00 and 45 minutes between 14:45‑15:45. Uniform, equipment and training will be provided.
Punctual and reliable individual who is approachable and enjoys engaging with the public.
Ability to work during the specified hours across the academic year.
