Job description

Aquaterra Energy is a global leader in the delivery of intelligently engineered products and services for well access and offshore developments for offshore energy projects. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Norwich, we have additional offices in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Asia and Australia.

You will be responsible for maintaining CRM discipline, improving data quality, assisting the sales team with day-to-day activities, and carrying out research that supports pipeline development. This is a hands‑on role that blends administration, coordination, and commercial insight – ideal for someone who enjoys keeping processes tight, data clean, and the sales engine running smoothly.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and an interest in the energy or engineering sectors.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

CRM Administration

  • Serve as the internal point of contact for our CRM (Zoho).
  • Maintain data accuracy, ensuring leads, contacts, accounts, and opportunities are regularly updated.
  • Support user onboarding, access permissions, and basic training.
  • Build and update dashboards, reports, and views to support weekly sales meetings.
  • Ensure alignment between CRM processes and sales/marketing workflows.
  • Work with external Zoho support or internal IT to troubleshoot issues or implement improvements.
  • Assist the global sales team in organising and updating their pipelines.
  • Ensure opportunities, stages, values, and next actions are kept current.
  • Monitor lead assignment and follow‑up and flag any gaps.
  • Provide administrative support for proposals, tenders, and commercial submissions where needed.
  • Support in maintain sales documentation (templates, capability statements, reference lists).
  • Organise and log customer interactions, meetings, and actions within the CRM.
  • Support team in researching contacts, companies, and decision‑makers using LinkedIn, company reports, and other industry data sources.
  • Gather market intelligence where needed – for example identifying operators, drilling contractors, rig movements, and relevant activity for target regions.
  • Track and log market activity and opportunities to feed the commercial pipeline.
  • Provide basic competitor and project research to support campaigns and account planning.
Reporting & Insights
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, KPI metrics, and activity summaries.
  • Highlight missing data, stalled opportunities, or inconsistent usage patterns.
  • Provide insights on market activity, lead quality, and emerging opportunities.
  • Other commercial and sales reporting as required
About You

  • Comfortable with routine tasks but able to adapt quickly when priorities shift.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a sales coordination, commercial support, or administrative role (typically 2–3 years).
  • Hands‑on experience with Zoho CRM, or strong experience with a comparable CRM and the willingness to learn Zoho quickly.
  • Confident working with data, dashboards, and basic reporting, including experience with Microsoft 365 and Power BI.
  • Excellent organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, able to work effectively across regions and with multi‑disciplinary teams.
  • Comfortable conducting online research and using platforms such as LinkedIn to support sales intelligence and pipeline development.
  • Confident liaising across departments – coordinating with marketing, engineering, and project teams to support commercial activity.
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to follow up on enquiries, maintain CRM discipline, and support business development.
  • Team‑oriented, adaptable, and able to remain composed under pressure.
  • Experience within the offshore, engineering, or energy sector.
  • Understanding of technical or B2B sales environments.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of how to identify and support sales opportunities.
