****Job Description:****We are looking for a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Fuel Systems Engineer to join our Airbus Protect Fuel Team, in Filton.**The role …*** Assess new functionality to systems within Fuel Team, new and modified requirements to the system, and cascade them to suppliers;* Support the customer’s Systems Engineers and Signatories in the development of System-Level Architecture, Sub-Systems and Equipment;* Perform roles that require internal interfacing with Engineers, Certification Specialists and Procurement, and external interface roles such as supplier and vendor management;* Lead and support the management and completion of deliverables to the customer, to meet the project milestones as per the Systems Development Process and Project lifecycle;* Support and Lead Project Management activities in the support of meeting deliverable targets to the customer;* Support phase reviews and Validation and Verification activities, ensuring activity meets safety and technical needs;* Authoring technical reports, including design drivers, architectures, and test results;* Support the development of the Certification standards, as well as the new system architectures and equipment for a future aircraft;* Leading and managing Sustainable Aviation Fuel system trade studies.**In Addition …*** As part of a consultancy, as required support work outside of Aircraft Fuel perimeter detailed above such as bid work and support to Airbus Protect’s wider work portfolio in the Sustainability Domain.**Experience required:*** You hold an Engineering degree relevant to aviation system design (e.g. Thermo-fluid/Mechanical/Electrical/Controls);* Experienced Engineer with 3 years of experience with minimum, ideally supporting Aircraft Fuel system design activities.* Knowledge in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and its application within the Aerospace industry, including Regulations & Standard.* Experience in systems based engineering including requirements management and Validation & Verification all the way through to certification.* Track record of leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and staff members.* Experience in Life Cycle Assessment of SAF is desirable.* Experience of Project Management is desirable.**We need someone who has/is:*** Strong ability lead and manage a project team (i.e Work Package management);* Team player, keen to share their knowledge and work collaboratively within a fairly small team;* Customer centric and able to build relationships in a matrix environment;* You have very good communication and negotiation skills;* You are autonomous, curious, proactive, rigorous, with great attention to detail;* Fluent in English (verbal and written).**What’s in it for you…****Joining Airbus Protect with :*** A close and caring management,* A pipeline of innovative projects,* A community of recognised experts,* Great career paths and training opportunities.**Great benefits:*** 25 days holiday* Hybrid working* Flexi time* Option to purchase holidays* Generous pension scheme* Eligibility to a Company profit sharing scheme* Share options* Access to a benefits platform offering car leasing, family health plans, dental plan, shopping discounts and much more …**AIRBUS PROTECT*** Airbus PROTECT brings together experts in risk analysis and management in the fields of safety, cybersecurity and sustainability.
