A children's support organization in North Tyneside is seeking qualified Residential Child Care Officers for a vital role in shaping the lives of children with emotional and behavioral needs. This position requires a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, strong communication skills, and a caring attitude. Riverdale is a nurturing and supportive children’s home providing care for up to 5 children with social and emotional behavioural difficulties. We are seeking qualified Residential Child Care Officers to join our dedicated team working on a 4‑week rolling rota which includes evenings, weekends and sleep‑ins.
As a Residential Child Care Officer you will play a vital role in the daily lives and long‑term development of our children. You will build positive and trusting relationships, provide emotional and practical support and work in line with individual care plans to promote independence, resilience and positive outcomes.
The role involves collaborating with colleagues, families and external professionals to safeguard and advocate for children while maintaining accurate records and contributing to care planning and reviews.
