Registered Children’s Home Manager in Swindon

We are recruiting for a new Registered Children’s Home Manager in Swindon.

To lead an established 2-bed Ofsted-registered children’s home (good rating), supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). We’re seeking someone who currently is a registered Manager who has experience of leading a home with confidence and care.

This is a stable home with two young people, who are in education.

Location: Swindon

Salary: £45-£52K (reflective of experience)

Roles and responsibilities

The Registered Manager will play a vital role in shaping the culture and success of the home.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading rota management and staff supervision.
  • Supporting the development and wellbeing of your team.
  • Overseeing care plans and striving for the best possible outcomes for each young person.
  • Embedding the 9 Quality Standards into everyday practice.
  • Applying your knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
  • Building strong relationships with external agencies and advocating effectively when needed.
  • Celebrating achievements for the children and the team.
  • Managing the home’s budget and spending responsibly.
  • Handling administrative duties and report writing with confidence.
  • Leading safeguarding practices in line with company policies and regulatory expectations.

What qualifications and experience do we need?

Qualifications

  • Achieved or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England), or an equivalent qualification.

Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience (within the last 5 years) in a role relevant to residential childcare.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage the home effectively while delivering high-quality care.
