Qualifications

  • Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, AM2, or equivalent).
  • Current registration and ability to sign off electrical works (18th Edition or equivalent required).
  • Proven experience in electrical safety testing, installation, and maintenance.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with care home staff and residents.
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within the region.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out statutory electrical safety testing, inspections, and remedial works.
  • Respond promptly to electrical maintenance requests from care home managers.
  • Undertake routine electrical repairs, installations, and fault finding.
  • Support external contractors ensuring works meet compliance standards.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and documentation for compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Travel regularly across the assigned region to support different care homes.

Your Role

As aRegional Registered Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical safety and compliance of our care homes across multiple locations. This role is ideal for a qualified and registered professional who takes pride in maintaining safe, efficient, and welcoming environments for residents, families, and staff.

You’ll be responsible for
  • Carrying out statutory electrical safety testing, inspections, and remedial works, signing off in line with current regulations.
  • Responding promptly to electrical maintenance requests from care home managers, prioritising urgent safety‑related issues.
  • Undertaking routine electrical repairs, installations, and fault finding.
  • Supporting external contractors when on site and ensuring works meet compliance standards.
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and documentation, ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Travelling regularly across the assigned region with flexibility to support different care homes as needed.
