Job summary

A leading detection technology firm in the United Kingdom is seeking an Electromechanical Technician to support the Cargo Research Team. Responsibilities include assembling and testing electromechanical systems, performing maintenance, and programming PLC-based controls. Required qualifications include NVQ Level 3 in Electromechanical Engineering and hands-on experience with PLCs. Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in electromechanical assembly, maintenance, or repair.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, and control technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, and test electromechanical components and systems.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and automated systems.
  • Diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical systems using diagnostic tools.
  • Calibrate and align mechanical and electrical components.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and modify PLC-based control systems.
  • Maintain and update HMI interfaces and support integration with SCADA systems.
