Quantity Surveyor

Join Kensa as a Quantity Surveyor to help drive the UK’s transition to low‑carbon heating. This role focuses on ensuring our projects are commercially sound and delivered efficiently, supporting the growth of renewable heating solutions nationwide.

Base pay range

Location: Flexible (UK-wide travel required for site visits and supplier meetings)

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Salary: Competitive salary circa £45,000 – £55,000 (dependent on experience)

About the role: We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working collaboratively, takes pride in accurate commercial management, and thrives on seeing well‑managed projects delivered successfully. What You’ll Do
  • Managing cost planning, forecasting, and financial reporting across multiple projects.
  • Preparing and analysing tenders, bills of quantities, and scopes of work.
  • Leading commercial administration of NEC, JCT, and bespoke contract forms.
  • Supporting procurement activities and building strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Working closely with project managers to track progress and ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Negotiating variations, managing risk, and agreeing final accounts.
  • Providing clear commercial insight to clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and supporting the growth of our renewable energy projects.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience in quantity surveying within construction, engineering, or renewable energy.
  • Strong commercial and contract management skills, including familiarity with NEC and JCT contracts.
  • Confidence working with numbers, analysing data, and producing accurate reports.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with different teams.
