Overview

Project Manager - Piling and Ground Improvement role with Expanded Geotechnical. Location: Leiston, Suffolk (Sizewell C project). We are recruiting for a Project Manager (Piling) to work on the Sizewell C project. If you take a hands on management approach with an in-house team, this is an opportunity to contribute to UK‑size and complex piling schemes with a leader in geotechnical engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the achievement of our safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrences
  • Support the delivery of the sub project to the client within budget, Quality Assurance standards, on programme and to stringent safety parameters
  • Work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate short term programmes of work
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting of progress against the plan
  • Ensure adoption of innovative ideas from within the business and from the workforce
  • Support the programming of day to day resource requirement and communicate these to the construction team
  • Interface with the construction manager and section managers to share best practice and ensure effective resource utilisation
  • Monitor external changes to work plans and report the effect of change
  • Lead section meetings to review safety, quality, progress and design
  • Ensure effective implementation of project management systems and procedures
  • Contribute to the contract review process
  • Chair safety committee meetings on a monthly basis, take minutes, distribute and carry out all actions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven track record managing piling projects (bored piles, driven piles, CFA, micro piles, etc.)
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and construction management tools (e.g., Procore, AutoCAD, BIM)
  • Familiar with budgeting, cost control, and procurement for piling projects
  • UK Driving License
