Qualifications

Production Technician

Job description

Based at Dyce, Aberdeen AB21 0GP, Onshore Position

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain own work environment ensuring personnel safety
  • Wear mandatory PPE and highlight others to do so
  • Promote safe working. Enforce safety, working practices and good housekeeping
  • Ensure staff compliance with company procedures
  • Implementing control measures as identified in Task Based Risk Assessments
  • To advise Supervisors if amendments/improvements to work procedures required
  • Ensure safe use and maintain integrity of company assets
  • Comply with and promote the Company Business Management System, including Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements as appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed technical knowledge of ALL gas manufacturing processes – methods, timings and safety requirements. Maintain detailed technical knowledge of ALL gas plant.
  • Maintain stock levels of production requirements (liquids)
  • Manage and maintain traceable records of all aspects of all stock including liquids (through use of the Company Computer Systems)
  • Maximise gaseous relative to all liquid usage
  • Maintain and hold stocks of industrial gases for customer call-off
  • Maintain and hold consumable stocks required for industrial gas production
  • Ensure that all customers/drivers are dealt with in a courteous manner
