Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a Production or Manufacturing Manager, ideally in an electro-mechanical product environment.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies, offshore manufacturing exposure and automated production processes would be advantageous.
  • Strong skills in people management, performance evaluation, organisation and team motivation.

Are you an experienced Production Manager, who is looking to work in a fast‑paced, global, market‑leading company?

Here at Innovative Technology, we have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to join our talented team at our global head office in Oldham, Greater Manchester.

Production Manager role overview

You will be responsible for leading our production team and collaborating with other department heads to meet strategic business goals, focusing on guiding and developing your direct reports and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Your Responsibilities as a Production Manager
  • Oversee and lead production teams, managing schedules and resources to meet business goals
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement Lean manufacturing methodologies to improve processes, reduce costs and maintain high standards
  • Collate and report on KPIs, ensuring all products are tested and packed to quality standards and that the site facilities are well‑maintained
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including output, efficiency, downtime and waste reduction
  • Ensure devices are thoroughly tested, packed and dispatch‑ready while maintaining adherence to company policies, industry regulations and safety requirements
  • Work with other departments and overseas operations to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage budgets, forecast production needs and control operational costs
  • Train, mentor and evaluate team performance to build a high‑performing team
Your Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years experience as a Production or Manufacturing Manager, ideally within an electro‑mechanical product environment
  • Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies, offshore manufacturing exposure and automated production processes would be advantageous
  • Strong skills in people management, performance evaluation, organisation and team motivation
  • Clear communication and influencing skills to drive collaboration across all departments
  • A flexible nature with the ability to plan on a long‑term basis, whilst making contingency allowances and solving production and dispatch issues
