Role specifics

We’re hiring a product manager to own the ongoing development of our SME Finance proposition. You will own the product roadmap, strategy, and execution of key finance-related initiatives, including integration with providers, onsite optimisations and development of a new account and re-engagement proposition for SME customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, operations, and business stakeholders) to build and enhance features that improve our current offering and create seamless experiences for customers and partners.

What you’ll be doing

  • Developing a deep understanding of the industry and our users to drive product development

  • Liaising directly with Lending and credit partners to develop and build out product capabilities

  • Owning performance for the area – day-to-day management and working with our data team to improve visibility and reporting

  • Delivering incremental product improvements while driving forward strategic initiatives to achieve wider business goals

  • Aligning and engaging stakeholders, setting the product roadmap, prioritising features, building consensus, and coordinating schedules with business teams, engineers and independent contractors to ship high-quality experiences

  • Fostering a culture of testing, data-driven decision making, and accountability for metrics and results

  • Hosting and coordinating milestone reviews, updating key stakeholders with progress, and negotiating priorities, scope and sequencing

What we’re looking for

  • Prior experience with SME-focused finance products is beneficial, especially in lending or brokering

  • Analytically minded, comfortable using data to understand and communicate product performance (experience with Google Analytics, SQL, Google Sheets and/or Segment beneficial)

  • Ability to create structure out of ambiguity with a pragmatic, can-do attitude in a collaborative way

  • Confidence and success in leading and developing a cross-functional product team

  • Experience in a small, fast-moving team with dynamic priorities and cross-functional stakeholders to define problems, scope end-to-end solutions and manage delivery to completion

  • Proven track record delivering consumer-facing products that drive user value and business financial goals

  • Understanding the value of user experience and A/B testing to achieve product/market fit

Our commitment to you

We are dedicated to developing valuable, inclusive, and user-friendly products and services that deliver positive outcomes for all customers. We strive to reflect the diverse range of people in our community and to be open and inclusive teammates and wider community members.
