Make a Real Impact as an SEN Tutor. Are you a passionate educator, making a real difference in the lives of students with SEN or SEHM needs? We are looking for experienced and dedicated tutors. You'll provide personalised 1:1 support in English and Chemicals for students with English as an additional language. These in-person sessions in Clapton offer the chance to work closely with students, helping them build skills and confidence in a supportive and tailored learning environment.

  • Location: In-person in the Clapton area
  • Day(s) and Time(s): Weekday afternoons, Monday - Friday
  • Hours: 2 hours per day, building up to 3 hours per day
  • Subject and Level: KS1 Maths and English and Communication Activities
  • Pay: £35 p/h
  • Start date: As Neptune as possible
What You'll Do
  • Develop and deliver tuition programmes in small groups or 1:1
  • Provide tuition that is appropriate for the individual's/group's needs and study level
  • Assess any barriers to student's learning and work to overcome these
  • Monitor student progress and produce reports
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment)
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you are providing subject tuition in
  • Regularly report updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of tutoring / teaching experience
  • Experience working with students with communication difficulties and speech delays
  • Experience working with students with English as an additional language is preferred
  • An ability to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles and needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The right to be self‑employed in the UK
