Job summary

A leading NDT company based in the United Kingdom seeks a skilled Workshop Technician for assembling, maintaining, and testing inspection equipment. The ideal candidate will have completed a mechanically biased Level 3 apprenticeship and possess at least two years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities include building mechanical tools, testing systems, and preparing equipment for deployment. Qualifications

  • Completed a mechanically biased Level 3 apprenticeship.
  • At least two years of post-apprenticeship experience.

Responsibilities

  • Building mechanical tools and assemblies from start to finish.
  • Using basic hand tools and workshop equipment for proper fit and function.
  • Following drawings and instructions to ensure correct builds.
  • Testing tooling systems for functionality before shipping.
  • Preparing ancillary equipment and spares for offshore job sites.

Skills

Ability to follow engineering drawings and 3D models
Bench fitting skills (drilling, tapping, filing)
Computer literacy (Microsoft Word/Outlook)
Attention to detail
Organised and self-motivated
