Volunteer Photographer / Filmmaker – London Rangers FC
London Rangers FC is looking for a creative volunteer to capture the energy, emotion and personality of our football, youth, and community programmes. Your high‑quality photos and videos will inspire supporters, celebrate our young people and help advance our mission of opportunity, development and belonging.
What you will do
- Attend selected training sessions, matches and community activities to document action shots, portraits, team photos and promotional images.
- Film short clips or longer videos, such as match highlights, interviews, behind‑the‑scenes snippets, short social content and mini‑stories.
- Build and maintain a library of polished photos and video clips for use on our website, social media and printed materials.
- Assist with selecting and editing the best images from each session – ensuring suitability for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, website banners etc.
- Work closely with the Director, football coaches and the media/marketing team to meet recruitment, fundraising, sponsorship and volunteer‑engagement needs.
- Follow safeguarding guidelines – capture images respectfully and obtain necessary consent.
- Contribute creative ideas for highlight videos, behind‑the‑scenes content and community features.
What we’re looking for – qualifications & skills
- Experience shooting high‑quality still photos and film in varied settings (sports, portraits, community activity).
- Comfortable filming short clips and longer videos for social media and promotional use.
- Understanding of composition, lighting, movement, timing and ability to capture candid moments.
- Proficiency with DSLR, mirrorless or high‑end smartphone cameras.
- Editing skills in Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent.
- Ability to deliver polished visuals with consistent style, organised and labelled for staff use.
- Comfortable interacting with young people, families, coaches and volunteers; capable of providing direction when needed.
- Reliable, punctual and able to communicate clearly with the media team.
- Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
- Desirable: Experience photographing sports teams or youth clubs, creating short‑form social media videos, shooting interviews or mini‑documentaries, knowledge of branding and social media trends.
