Pharmacy Assistant (Contract) – Compounding – Kingston
Overview

Purpose

Pharmacy Assistants work with the Pharmacists and Registered Pharmacy Technicians to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Compounding sterile preparations in compliance with P&Ps and standards set by the company
  • Calculate and supply clean room staff with ingredients required for compounding
  • Label final containers and package orders for delivery
  • Support pharmacists during the final check
  • Calibrate, monitor, and maintain equipment inside and outside of the clean room
  • Receive and place orders of medications, solutions and supplies on the shelves and maintain inventory
  • Organize and maintain the work area inside and outside of the clean room
Qualifications
  • Completion of technical training required
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques is an asset
  • Experience working in a clean room environment is an asset
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy and productivity
  • Reliability, strong communication, organizational skills, customer service, initiative, teamwork, sound judgment, interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to high standards
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have computer skills
