Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Compliance Manager with strong experience in UK personal and corporate taxation. The successful candidate will manage all tax compliance matters for the organization and its stakeholders, working closely with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate, timely filings and proactive tax risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and manage all aspects of corporate and personal tax compliance, including preparing, reviewing, and submitting tax returns (CT600s, SA100s, etc.).
  2. Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and UK tax laws.
  3. Serve as the primary contact for HMRC inquiries, audits, and correspondence.
  4. Collaborate with external advisors and internal finance teams for accurate tax computations and disclosures.
  5. Monitor tax legislation and advise on regulatory changes.
  6. Support tax aspects of annual accounts, audits, and statutory filings.
  7. Improve internal tax control processes and systems.
  8. Assist in tax planning to optimize tax structuring for corporate and personal matters.
  9. Manage the tax compliance calendar to meet all deadlines.
  10. Train and support junior staff and stakeholders on tax compliance.
  11. Provide tax compliance services to clients as appropriate.
  12. Manage a client portfolio, ensuring deadlines are met and relationships are developed.
  13. Identify risks related to quality control procedures and escalate as needed.
  14. Support partners and manage a team.
  15. Ensure compliance for large groups.
  16. Write client reports and lead complex projects.
  17. Review technical and financial assessments prepared by team members.

Key Requirements

  • Professional tax qualification (CTA, ACA, ACCA, ATT, or equivalent).
