About the Person Seeking Care

I am a 52‑year‑old woman living with my family and puppy in the Burton‑Joyce area. I have MS, epilepsy and have had a stroke. I have been a wheelchair user for 30 years. I am easy going and appreciate what people do for me. I love going to the cinema, browsing shops, going for coffees, walks down by the river and generally getting out and about. I can be quite quiet, so I’m looking for someone outgoing who will chat with me but not be offended if I don’t respond.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with getting up, showering, toileting, and support with meals.

Job Details

The hours are every Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and every other Saturday from 9:00 a.m. for 4–5 hours. ‘Bank hours’ will be available to cover other PA’s holidays and sickness. There is the possibility of additional regular hours for the right person.

Qualifications

• Female applicants only (the employer has claimed an exemption under the Equality Act 2010).
• Age 25 or over.
• Automatic driving licence; must be able to drive the employer in an adapted vehicle.
• Experience working in care or caregiving situations preferable but not essential; full training will be provided.

Compensation

£13 per hour.
