# Personal Advisor## Job IntroductionWe’re seeking someone with excellent communication skills to join us as a Personal Advisor.You’ll manage a complex caseload of care experienced young people aged sixteen to twenty-five. You’ll provide practical and emotional support, review pathway plans and help young people access accommodation, education, employment or training. Working within the legal framework, you will advocate for young people and ensure they have a successful transition to adulthood.**This is a site-based role****Interviews for this role will be held on 5 February**Milton Keynes City Council is a modern and friendly place to work. Find out more about working with us here:### Main Responsibility* Manage a caseload of care experienced young people and assess their needs.* Provide advice, guidance and support, including reviewing pathway plans.* Work collaboratively with social workers and other professionals.* Record interactions accurately and adhere to council policies.* Support participation and service development for young people.### The Ideal Candidate* Knowledge of Children’s Social Care and relevant legislation.* Experience working with children, young people and families.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Ability to work as part of a team and make considered decisions.* Self-motivated, flexible, and able to manage your own workload.To be successful in this role, you’ll need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. If you’re offered the position, we’ll ask for proof of your licence and vehicle insurance, including business use cover.
