  • 6-month full-time fixed-term Contract
  • Starting at £27,634 per annum pro rata based on 36 hours per week.

We are excited to be hiring experienced Outdoor Learning Instructors to join our dynamic Outdoor Learning team at Surrey Outdoor Learning and Development (SOLD).

SOLD provides carefully facilitated, bespoke programmes in the outdoors, creating positive learning outcomes and experiences using our beautifully located facilities and centres across Surrey. Staff will have a primary base and will work at other sites at times. Our centres are located.

  • High Ashurst - Mickleham, Dorking, Surrey, RH5 6DQ
  • Henley Fort and Angel Blue - Guildford, Surrey, GU2 4RH

Please note, there is no on-site accommodation available so it would suit individuals living within a commutable distance.

About the role

Our Outdoor Learning Instructor role is suitable for individuals with experience in delivering high-quality, outcome-driven outdoor learning programmes. We are planning our next cohort to commence in Spring 2026 (1 st April), offering a 6-month fixed-term contract.

What are we looking for?
  • Previous experience of delivering complex outdoor learning programmes
  • A minimum of two years working in outdoor learning and a minimum of two national governing body qualifications
  • Knowledge and practical experience in delivering high-quality outdoor activities, with a strong understanding of health and safety standards and compliance with national governing body requirements within the outdoor industry
  • A flexible and positive solution-focused approach
