Job description

Morfa Bay Adventure is a leading outdoor activity provider and large group residential centre. We deliver high-quality adventure experiences in a fun, supportive, and safety-focused environment. From days visits and school residential breaks, to family holidays and adult weekends, Morfa Bay Adventure has something for everyone.

The Role

We are looking for reliable, motivated and enthusiastic individuals with the necessary people skills to join our team of experienced instructors.

You must be flexible, hard working and prepared to work outdoors in all types of conditions. As an instructor you will inspire and educate participants whilst creating memorable moments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and engaging activity sessions under the provision and guidance of a senior instructor, such as Archery, Bushcraft, Climbing, etc
• Carry out safety briefings, equipment checks and adhere to risk assessments & operating procedures
• Supervise groups of varying ages and abilities
• Maintain equipment and activity areas to a high standard
• Fulfill centre jobs as tasked by a senior instructor/centre manager and support a duty shift (extended paid day) at least once a week (during peak season)
• Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive and energetic atmosphere

What We Offer

Previous experience in the industry is not necessarily required (but helpful) as successful applicants will be led through a period of in-house training. This will be followed by consistent monitoring and appraisal to ensure that they reach the required standard to lead activity sessions (where applicable).

As part of the induction process we offer the following NBG qualifications;

• RLSS National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification (NVBLQ)**
• ERCA High Ropes Instructor Award
• RLSS First Aid at Work (FAW)

The position will require a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and all applicants must be prepared to work with children of all ages and abilities.

N.B. Morfa Bay Adventure does not offer any on-site rented staff accommodation.

Pay: £13.45 per hour
