Overview

A boutique hedge fund is seeking an Operations Analyst to join its collaborative operations team. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years’ experience in financial services, with exposure to listed and OTC derivatives. Strong Excel skills are essential; VBA/SQL knowledge is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily operations across listed and OTC derivatives, including trade capture, settlement, valuation, and reconciliation.
• Manage the full trade lifecycle, resolving trade discrepancies and settlement issues.
• Liaise with internal teams (front office, IR, compliance) and external counterparties (custodians, brokers).
• Use Excel to perform reconciliations and generate reports.
• Prepare accurate internal and regulatory reporting.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational best practices.

Key Requirements

• 2–3 years’ experience in financial services operations (hedge fund or asset management preferred).
• Advanced Excel proficiency; VBA/SQL experience advantageous.
• Understanding of listed and OTC derivatives.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Familiarity with portfolio management systems.
