We are looking for an experienced, customer-focussed receptionist towork on our front desk. You'll be based on the reception desk in ourcentral Birmingham office; welcoming clients and visitors, answeringthe phone, preparing meeting rooms, and helping your team withadministrative tasks to support our lawyers. This is a greatopportunity for a receptionist looking to gain experience within a topUK law firm. This is a permanent contract, working 36.25 hours a week,Monday to Friday, working 7.25 hour shifts between the hours of 8amand 6pm.

The role
  • Welcoming clients, visitors, contractors and employees in linewith Bevan Brittan standards
  • Answering phones in a prompt and professional manner, routingcalls as necessary to the relevant person
  • Managing meeting room bookings in both internal client rooms andexternal venues
  • Ensuring meeting rooms are cleared and ready for the next meeting
  • Managing train ticket and taxi requests
  • Providing support to the facilities team
  • Supporting administrative tasks, including conflict searching andmatter opening
  • Compiling electronic bundles for court and experts
  • General office administrative duties including copying, scanning etc
What we are looking for from you

The ideal applicant will possess the following skills:

  • Quality and customer service driven, with a concern for accuracy an eye for detail
  • Previous experience in an administrative role is essential.Ideally, this would be within a professional services environment
  • Working knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Able to work to deadlines and prioritise own workload effectively
  • Enthusiastic, pro-active and flexible. Willing to contribute andsupport others as part of a team
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Additionally, reprographics, courier and outgoing mail experienceare also desirable skills as there may be times where you will beasked to help our reprographics team
