Nursing Team Leader | Spire Harrogate Clinic | Full‑Time | Permanent | Free Parking & Excellent Benefits

Spire Harrogate Clinic provides outpatient and day‑case treatments by a dedicated team of consultants and healthcare professionals. The clinical specialties include ophthalmology, dermatology, gynaecology, orthopaedics and a private GP service. We also provide X‑ray, ultrasound and same‑day MRI scans. We are looking for a Nursing Team Leader with an ODP or Nursing background and experience with management duties.

Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Clinical Services Manager in their absence
  • Monitor the standard of outpatient capabilities, ensuring treatments and competencies across the team are implemented and regularly audited
  • Lead others in the development of knowledge, ideas, and work practices
  • Develop strategies and policies for service improvement
  • Line‑manage the Nursing team, including HR policies such as absence management, developing clinical competence and facilitating training needs
  • Develop own managerial and clinical knowledge and practice and assist others to develop continually professionally
  • Enable competence and autonomy from the team, with clear leadership and guidance
  • Facilitate the daily practice of clinical governance and risk management, keeping patients safe
  • Maintain computer literacy including M365/Excel/Teams
Ideal Candidate
  • NMC registration or HCPC registration with no restrictions
  • Private hospital experience desirable
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience
  • Outpatient or similar experience including Minor Operations
  • Leadership/managerial skills are essential
  • Ability to manage and prioritise both clinical and managerial duties, with clear processes and procedures
