Location: We are seeking a Network Operational Specialist for the Customer Field Services department, covering Knostrop and surrounding areas in West Yorkshire. You’ll help Yorkshire Water deliver the best service to customers.

Working type: Permanent, 37 hours per week. After full training you will be expected to work out‑of‑hours请输入 standby, so flexibility outside core hours is essential.

Where You Fit In!
As Our Network Operational Specialist, You Will:
  • Provide technical support for the safe operation of the Customer Field Services fleet and equipment – jetting, CCTV, recycler/vactor, sewer investigations. Review RAMS for all works delivered on the gravity sewer network.
  • Offer technical guidance to Wastewater on all acompañ aspects of the gravity sewer network.
  • Support significant incidents (pollution / flooding) and encourage field‑based teams toid manage rapid response.
  • Consult on safe operation and restoration following operational failures on the sewer network, helping the department and wider business.
  • Support the Operational Delivery Manager with the escape review process. Provide technical and financial evaluation for follow‑on work – both Yorkshire Water and service partner projects – to prevent repeat calls.
  • Collaborate with the operational contracts team to improve efficiency and remedy problematic sewer works.
  • Manage the CSO asset base, ensuring safe and effective operation. Work closely with central control and CSO teams to deliver maintenance plans.
What Skills, Experience and Training Will You Need?
  • Technical understanding of sewer systems, network performance issues and assets, and a basic knowledge of sewage treatment works.
  • Knowledge of vehicles and equipment used to resolve issues on the sewer network. Experience operating high‑pressure jetting equipment with appropriate accreditation.
  • Previous customer‑service‑related experience with face‑to‑face communication – essential.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload, assessing priorities to mitigate risk swiftly.
  • Strong health & safety background – experience of H&S management processes and systems required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, building effective internal and external relations.
  • Influencing skills with a focus on the ‘right‑first‑time’ approach, evidence capture and feedback.
  • Proficiency with IT – Microsoft Suite and company‑based systems such as SAP (training provided).
  • Full valid driving licence (no more than six points) – travel to various operational sites across the region.
