We at Work Lyf Group are seeking a proactive and versatile Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s team in the Meir area. This hands‑on role involves maintaining and servicing a range of industrial machinery, including beam saws, edge banding machines, and other woodworking equipment. You’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth operations, minimising downtime, and supporting production efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance and emergency repairs on beam saws, edge banders, and related machinery.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
  • Support production teams with technical expertise and rapid response to breakdowns.
  • Maintain accurate service records and comply with health and safety standards.
  • Participate in an on‑call rota until 8:00 PM for urgent support needs.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve equipment reliability.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a multiskilled engineering role (mechanical/electrical).
  • Familiarity with woodworking machinery, especially beam saws and edge banders.
  • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications or apprenticeship preferred.
Qualifications
