Are you a skilled IT professional looking for a new challenge in a dynamic, hybrid M365 environment?

We are hiring for a Group M365 IS Engineer to join our Information Services team in Crawley. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for system security, technical support, and IT infrastructure to make a real impact across our organization.

Salary: negotiable depending on experience, pension, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, EAP and more.

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and securing our company’s systems and users; in both a hybrid M365 and on-premises environment.

You will play a key role in implementing and supporting new IT systems, providing operational support, and resolving technical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Installation & Maintenance: Assist with the installation and upkeep of IT systems, analyzing and troubleshooting issues with both on-premise and O365 applications.
  • Security & Troubleshooting: Maintain security patching services, monitor system replication, mail routing, and ensure accurate user account management.
  • Security Infrastructure: Develop and implement robust firewall and anti-virus technologies. Review security logs and reports to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Support & Documentation: Provide technical support, develop procedural manuals, and offer training for department personnel. Respond to requests and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Hybrid M365/AD Management: Manage user accounts, distribution groups, security settings, and troubleshoot sync errors in a hybrid M365/AD environment.
  • Email & Network Security: Administer email flow, troubleshoot Exchange Online, and manage security features like DMARC and conditional access policies.
  • VPN & Access Management: Oversee VPN accounts, ensure secure network access, and manage Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) for users and contractors.
Skills & Knowledge Required
  • Minimum 3 years working with hybrid AD/M365 environments, with strong knowledge of Azure, Entra, and Active Directory security.
  • Proficient in configuring and maintaining firewalls, wired/wireless networks, servers, PCs, and printers in a networked environment.
  • Solid understanding of network security principles, including antivirus systems, patch management, MFA, and user permissions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, even in high-pressure situations.
Additional Requirements
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends, to perform system updates and resolve critical issues.
  • Provide 2nd-level support and assist in training Helpdesk Technicians.
