We are looking for a Menswear Pattern Cutter to join our team in Nottingham. As a Pattern Cutter, you’ll transform creative ideas into perfectly engineered garments. Working closely with our Design and Technical teams, you’ll interpret design concepts to develop accurate patterns, ensuring every piece reflects our signature fit, function, and style.

The Role
  • Attend fit meetings from the handover stage, through protos and into the final production pattern fittings.
  • Create accurate 1st patterns using Assyst, developing from existing bases, design specifications, or vintage references.
  • Collaborate with Designers throughout the fitting process, from handover to final production, ensuring the best possible fit and silhouette.
  • Work closely with Technical Product Developers and Sample Machinists to produce high-quality, well-constructed garments.
  • Amend proto and production patterns and prepare final files for grading.
  • Digitise, measure, and export patterns, creating size charts and liaising with graders to ensure consistency across sizes.
  • Import and adapt factory patterns when required.
  • Mentor and assist junior pattern cutters and interns as needed.
  • Contribute to show preparation and attend seasonal shows to assist with final alterations, when required.
Your Skills And Experience
  • Proven credible experience of creative pattern cutting and fitting.
  • Experience of working with Design and Technical teams.
  • Knowledge of working with factories in a variety of locations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail especially when following design specifications.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, with a notable numerical aptitude.
  • Creative when producing patterns from design sketches.
  • Up to date with Menswear trends and technical innovations in pattern development.

  • Highly organised with good prioritisation skills to set deadlines.
  • Comfortable working as part of a team or independently as required.
  • Confident liaising with other departments.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing daily and weekly deadlines.
  • Able to remain calm under pressure.
