Marketing Director

Location: Greater London, United Kingdom

Contract: 6 month Fixed Term Contract (FTC)

Work arrangement: Hybrid 3 days a week

Compensation: Competitive salary + car allowance

What we need

A dynamic and innovative marketing director to lead our marketing strategy and drive brand growth. You will be responsible for crafting impactful communications and customer loyalty across paid, owned, and earned channels. As the leader of a talented team, you’ll oversee a best‑in‑class CRM & loyalty programme, ensuring sustained growth and enhancing customer lifetime value. We are looking for someone who is experienced in processes, ways of working, onboarding tools and onboarding new agencies/partners, and someone confident working with insights to align on metrics that matter!

What you’ll do
  • Craft fame and footfall, driving communications across paid, owned and earned channels that convert to more visits for more occasions.
  • Lead best‑in‑class CRM & loyalty programme with industry‑leading LTV & primary contributor to LFL growth YoYoY.
  • Ensure wagamama are always easy to find and search digitally with a dominance of local search.
  • Define and implement our in‑restaurant brand proposition ensuring we are a memorable moment for guests to connect, inspiring one more visit through what makes us famous (our food and our hospitality).
  • Inspire and lead the team, creating the next generation of leaders.
  • Lead a team of 12 with 4 direct reports, working hand‑in‑glove with peers – commercial strategy & insight director, creative director, head of international marketing – as the senior marketing leadership team.
  • Key member of the wider business senior leadership team.
What you’ll need
  • Experience working at a marketing‑director level across retail, hospitality or similar.
  • Disruptive marketing, proven track record in delivering commercially.
  • Experience in processes & ways of working.
  • Impactful integrated communications ideas, relatable with restaurant operations – a must to bring brand to life through team members viewed as genuine brand ambassadors.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Ability to connect with restaurant operations to bring the brand to life.
