We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic PR and Marketing Executive for a 12-month maternity cover to join the team at RHS Garden Wisley, the Royal Horticultural Society’s stunning garden in Surrey.

Base pay range

Job Title: RHS Garden Wisley PR and Marketing Executive – Maternity cover (hybrid/flexible working)
Hours: 21 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term

Overview of the Role

The job purpose is to support the delivery of visitor number targets by working with the Garden Marketing & PR Manager to deliver the marketing and PR plan.

This role will work closely with both the onsite teams (Head of Site, Visitor Services, Curatorial, Retail and Catering) and the central marketing and PR teams based in London to deliver PR and social media campaigns that appeal to our audiences.

Key Skills and Experience

• Experience working in a B2C marketing or PR environment
• Experience of delivering PR campaigns, including writing press releases, liaising with journalists and photographers, and managing photocalls
• Experience of managing consumer-facing social media accounts delivering organic posts that drive engagement
• Experience in managing community engagement for social platforms
• Experience of creating web content and online communications
• Excellent copy writing skills and a strong eye for creative detail
