The Manufacturing Engineer – Body Structures Opportunity:

Due to continuous growth, they are expanding their team and seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to focus on the Body Structure, Fabrication and Metrology area of the process.

As a key player, you will contribute to the development of manufacturing processes, revolutionising the way they build their vehicles within a low-volume environment.

Be at the forefront of new model launches and engineering changes, offering crucial support in enhancing Project Management, Safety, Quality, Cost Management, and Product Delivery.

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer – Body Structures:
  • Develop and implementefficient, high-quality, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing processes for automotive components within fabrication and body structure areas.
  • Conduct measurement activitiesto support build processes, including calibration and verification of jigs and tooling.
  • Create and managedetailed project plans and timelines to support restoration and production activities.
  • Analyse and optimiseexisting production processes to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity.
  • Oversee tooling requirements, oversee tooling requirements for process areas. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement, maintenance, and readiness of jigs and fixtures.
  • Collaborate with quality teamsto develop and implement inspection procedures and quality checkpoints throughout production stages.
  • Support prototype/launch build phasesfor new vehicle programs by providing fabrication expertise and working closely with Engineering and Launch teams.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency withCAD systemsand tooling design.
